We specialise in providing the right promotion strategy for each individual parcel of land and work closely with landowners to understand their specific goals with regard to their landholding.

About Us

Long Moor Developments is run by our Managing Director, Tim Williams. A Chartered Town Planner for over 28 years, Tim has played a major role in Land Promotion with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Based in Yorkshire we are happy to consider any opportunity and provide an initial and confidential assessment of any parcel of land at no cost to the landowner.

Long Moor Developments seeks to work with landowners to identify and maximise the development potential and therefore the value of any parcel of land. We navigate a route through the planning system to achieve a consent in the soonest possible timescale. Understanding the specific needs of each individual landowner is key to our success.

Tim Williams set up Long Moor Developments in 2020 having worked in Strategic Land for a variety of Housebuilders for over 25 years. Representing landowners he has identified, secured, promoted and bought a wide range of development sites throughout Yorkshire and the North of England.

Strategic Land

Central Government empowers Local Planning Authorities to bring forward land for sustainable development to meet the housing, employment and other spatial needs for their area. This process uses the development plan system to quantify those needs and allow for the appropriate amount of land in the right locations to be brought forward for development. Long Moor Developments seeks to anticipate the selection of those sites and helps landowners put forward as good a case as possible to influence which sites are chosen. We work closely with Local Planning Authorities, communities and other stakeholders to positively plan for all concerned.

Biodiversity Net Gain

At Long Moor Developments, we understand the impact that the new Government Environment Act and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) will have on future developments. Most Local Planning Authorities already expect new applications to provide a 10% biodiversity net gain. We also understand that meeting this 10% is not always easy to accomplish on-site given the various constraints that some land can present.

Our aim is to make the whole process hassle free for you as the developer so the BNG on your development is one less thing to think about. We aim to provide a service parallel to that provided by the LPA at a more competitive price. Free Land Assessment

Long Moor Developments will consider any parcel of land and are happy to undertake a free, no obligation assessment of any potential it may possess. Any land with a reasonable prospect of development will be considered more fully and include a detailed report which will provide advice on how best to promote the site in the future.

Site Promotion

Through our in-depth knowledge of the planning system, Long Moor Developments will promote any land to maximise its value through achieving planning consent for development. We tailor our promotion to meet the individual needs of landowners and can partner with other promoters or developers if this is considered to be the optimum strategy. Long Moor Developments do not charge up-front for their promotional services but will take a small percentage of the uplift in value at the point when planning consent is achieved.

Biodiversity Net Gain

We will manage the whole BNG process from initial baseline calculations through to the delivery of the new habitats with the aim of making it hassle-free for both the developer and landowner.
